2025 Spring Break Camp – the Magic of the Swamp

March 24 – 31 & April 18 – 25

It’s time for a break to get out and play! Join us for this fun-filled week; as we get out into nature and discover all it has to offer. Favorite camp activities such as canoeing, archery, fishing, and swimming will be a part of this week of activities.

Spring Camp is offered at Birch State Park in Ft. Lauderdale. Daily and Weekly rates are available. Programming is subject to change.

If your child attended our previous summer and winter programs, welcome back! All you need to do is click on the ‘Register Now tab and log in to your account.   • Monday:

Science: Make a cloud in a jar as you learn to identify cloud formations and what they tell us about weather patterns

Art:  Clouds of bubbles create a whimsical art piece

Activity: Canoe ride into the wild & Swimming

Spring Snack: Make your own GORP

  • Tuesday:

Interactive Activity: Campers join the South Florida Symphony to discover how different instruments work and how they come together in the symphony and how they can work together

Activity 2: Test your skills as an ethical angler as we fish the intracoastal waters

Sports: Swimming at the Beach and Kickball

Art Project: Wind chimes made with shells and wood

Science: Campers will make a wind gauge as we talk about the role wind plays in weather patterns

  • Wednesday: 

Activity 1: Go on a guided nature walk with Rangers to learn about the local trees, making your own tree id guide

Art: Create your own magic wand with wood from the park, feathers and shells

Activity 2: Take aim and shoot the evil wizards in archery

Science: Campers will make a tornado in a box and witness the power of cold air colliding with warm air

  • Thursday:

Interactive activity with the South Florida Symphony as campers uncover the magic of how music is used in movies and our daily lives to set the mood

Science: Hurricanes are harmful or beneficial to our ecosystems, to fish and to the human population

Activity 2: Fishing, Sports and Beach time

  • Friday:

Activity 1: Canoe races to the island for a fun adventure

Art: Make a drum or rattle out of upcycled materials

Science: Dunes – the Weather, Wind and Water connection

Activity 2: Camp Fire Cookout and S’mores

Sports: Volleyball
